Blackwood’s Apothecary was created from a passion for coffee, tea, traditional healing, plant wisdom, and the belief that everyday moments can become meaningful rituals. Founded by Robert Gervais, certified herbalist and certified hypnotist, Blackwood’s was envisioned as a welcoming destination where people can gather, discover, and reconnect with themselves and the natural world.

Our Story

My journey has been shaped by a lifelong curiosity about nature, spirituality, and traditional healing. My background blends Irish spiritual heritage from my mother’s side with Hispanic folk traditions from my stepfather’s side, creating a foundation rooted in respect for ancestral knowledge, cultural traditions, and the many ways people seek connection and understanding.

Growing up surrounded by diverse spiritual influences inspired my exploration of folklore, herbal knowledge, and the relationship between humanity and the natural world. Through my studies in herbalism, hypnosis, spiritual practices, and traditional wisdom, I have developed an approach that honors the past while creating a welcoming space for exploration in the present.
